Spirit Scuba

Visual Identity

The Problem

A certified Inner Voice Facilitator (hi, also me) needed a business name, brand strategy, and visual identity that could clearly communicate a unique, intuitive approach to meditation and breathwork.

The Solution

As both the client and creative strategist, I developed Spirit Scuba, a brand concept and identity that connects the immersive calm of scuba diving with the deep stillness accessed through breath-led inner work. The name itself is a metaphor: Spirit Consciousness Using Breath as Apparatus (SCUBA), a playful but potent acronym that mirrors how clients learn to dive into the depths of their being using the body’s breath as the vehicle for spirit.

The logo features a turtle, a symbol of balance, adaptability, and grounded presence. Turtles, like divers, control their buoyancy through breath. The way breath helps turtles rise or settle in water mirrors how humans regulate the nervous system through conscious breathwork. This physiological truth became an elegant anchor for the brand’s messaging and visuals. Spirit Scuba’s identity embodies this balance, floating yet grounded, expansive yet serene.

Being your own client means wrestling with all the questions you usually ask others. What do I truly want to say? Who am I beneath the roles? What is authentic to me that will resonate with my audience? Spirit Scuba became a practice in letting my inner voice take the lead, while my creative mind shaped and gave life to those messages.
